Gaza War: Further talks are pointless says Hamas

Hamas will no longer engage in ceasefire negotiations with Israel, seeing no point in doing so while Israel continues its genocidal offensive in Gaza. A leading member of the Islamic Resistance Movement that runs the besieged Palestinian enclave told the media this week that “there is no sense in engaging in talks or considering new ceasefire proposals as long as the hunger war and extermination war continue in the Gaza Strip”. Basem Naim, a Hamas Politburo member, called on the international community to pressurise the Israeli leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, to end the “crimes of hunger, thirst, and killings” in Gaza. He was speaking a day after Netanyahu said the population of the enclave “will be moved” in a new Israeli offensive that would entail “the conquest of the Gaza Strip and the holding of the territories”.

Particularly since the end of the Second World War, which saw all its imperialist rivals weakened economically, the USA has been able to dominate the non-socialist world. A process supported by the privileged position of the US dollar established as the major reserve currency for international trade and investment. A role rein forced by pricing oil in US dollars. The USA was able to attract talented people from around the world and become advanced in science and technology. For a privileged elite, the American Dream had begun.
